About Anna’s Friend's Books
Let’s discover our motivational gifts
The scriptures tell us a little about the gifts in Romans 12:4-9 (Good News Bible). “We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions. In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body.
So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. Whoever has authority should work hard; If it is to encourage others, we should do so; Whoever shares with others should do it generously; Whoever shows kindness to others should do it cheerfully; If our gift is to speak God’s message, we should do it according to the faith that we have; If it is to serve, we should serve; If it is to teach, we should teach. Love must be completely sincere. Hate what is evil, hold on to what is good.
Note: I have listed the seven gifts alphabetically for ease and efficiency in the guide and on the website.
Meet my 7 cutout kids! To share in the discovery of better understanding your child I have written a series of eight books written specifically for the eight to ten-year-old; those in this age group I find are very eager to learn who they are (Children from age six to twelve have read these books).
You will meet (front row in photo at the right) Sarah (the teacher), Anna (the facilitator/administrator), Hiro (the exhorter), Maria (the giver), (back row) Daniel (the prophet), Cayden (the merciful), and Jesse (the servant).
Some Parent's Reviews
Here are a few comments from parents
Janice: Anna’s Friends is an amazing series of books. At first glance it seemed interesting and then Yvonne Williams description really whet my appetite.
The real delight came when I began to read the first book…My twin 8-year olds were mesmerized…They LOVED IT!
They could not get enough…they totally related to the characters and were doing a lot of thought processing to see how they were similar or dissimilar to the characters. I was also amazed at how much these books drew ME in. They really got me thinking and wanting more.
Our reading time increased because we all wanted more. We have since read the entire series of books and have enjoyed them so much…we are bugging the author for the next one…Please Yvonne.
I have recommended these books to tons of families with confidence that they will enjoy and grow. Thank you Yvonne for a lovely, REAL, series for an often overlooked age and topic.
Dianne, Grandmother: Thank you so much! Kynslee just loves them (Anna’s Friends Books #1 – #4). She is in the second grade this year and reads like a pro. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful the set is.
Cynthia, Parent: What a creative way to introduce children to their God given gifts and talents!
Kyong, School Teacher: I love Anna’s Friends! Would you be willing to come to our school and present a program? Teachers could benefit from this series. It could help them understand their students better.
Douglas, Parent: Wonderful writing. I haven’t seen anything like this anywhere else. I wish I’d found this years ago. It would have made a significant impact on my children and myself.
